Welcome to the last month of the year.

I'll give you a second to silently curse to yourself in amazement at how fast this year has gone, and then we'll get started with the last 2015 Currently linkup.

wishing //
Time needs to slow down this month! I 100% like to go cliche Christmastime crazy (just like everyone and their mom...) and it's hard to soak in every Christmas-y second when the month goes by in what feels like a week. December, please spread out into what feels like three months. Four months! Five! Although...that might get old. I'll stick with three months. Thanks.

remembering //
Growing up we got a new ornament every year. My mom did this because she said she wanted us to have our own ornament collections for when we grew up and lived on our own. Well, shucks and a half, I have definitely got a collection going on. From Aladdin and Jasmine to 100 assorted ballerinas to a giant mirrored disco ball, I've got the ornament part of Christmas down. I love unpacking them and trying to remember what in the world was going through my head in the year 1999 when I just had to have that Queen Amidala ornament (I also try to remember what in the world was going through my head in 1999 when my friends and I used to constantly do Queen Amidala makeup on each other).

wrapping //
Does stuffing presents into bags count as wrapping? Because if so then I am rocking this whole wrapping thing. But come on, when Target's dollar section has bags this cute you can't really wrap stuff, right? Right.

baking //
I'm not sure if you've picked up on the fact that I don't cook (because I only mention it every other post or so), but that always includes baking. Baking stresses me out even more than cooking does. So instead of use my 15% off Christmas M&M's coupon and eat all the peanut butter M&M's. I love baking eating M&M's!

decorating //
We got our tree and got it decorated which means the ribbon cutting has happened and the grand opening of Christmastime can begin. The apartment is also decorated and it feels like Christmas straight up vomited in here which means it feels perfect.

Linking up with Anne and Jenna!

I am ALL about the bags! If it's not a perfect square, I am USELESS when it comes to wrapping. I looove your tree!

I put our (sad, cheap, fake IKEA) tree up on Sunday only to realize that most of our Christmas stuff is still at my parents' from moving...I'm devastated looking at that bare tree. I have been desperately searching for white chocolate peppermint M&Ms they have at Christmas (because, baking? what's that? no) and I can't find them! Ughhhh.

Your mom's idea for the ornaments was genius!! I have a friend that picks an ornament for her kids each year that is representative of what they did that year, but I love the fact that you have your own collection already! I have almost none, haha!!

My parents got me an ornament each year too!! I definitely had a nice collection to start out with and now whenever we travel we get more to add to our tree! So fun getting them out each year :) I have been begging Jared to let me start wrapping presents- he says not until we can sit down and do it ALL at once. Lame ;)

MY MOM DID THE SAME THING FOR US GROWING UP! She told us when she and my dad had their first tree it was so sad because they could only afford one thing of ornaments and she never wanted us to have that when we left. I have so many wonderful ornaments on my tree now, how fun someone else has the same tradition.

Gah, I know! It's like December is 10 days long and January is about 100... I love the ornament-a-year thing. And the 15% off M&Ms coupon! Used that one too. Christmastime at Target is too fun.

My family either 1) didn't love me that much or 2) weren't very creative because the only ornaments I really got were the ones I made at school. It's HILARIOUS how many ornaments Caleb has compared to me. So we started buying a ton when we visit places or do something cool together!! :)

Aaaand YES to target's dollar section. All the time.

Jordan and I go and pick out an ornament each year... It's a tradition for us now :) and I do have some from childhood that my parents got me. Ornaments are fun! But seriosuly, this year has gone too fast. I mean, I seriously remember it being January! What.

Aw, we had a similar tradition growing up. We would choose an ornament off of my grandparent's tree to keep when we went to their house. It is so special and I still have all of them! I've started a new tradition of buying me and Lamar a new hot airballoon ornament each yearand that is fun!

I love the photo of your tree! It's so pretty!
