currently: the just last week one

Sometimes when I'm thinking about stuff that happened last week I think back to how much fun our New Year's Eve party was.

...and then I remember that New Year's Eve was thirty one weeks ago instead of last week, and then my mind is blown.

So hey, August! Nice of you to come storming in. To come in like a wrecking ball! There, that's the analogy I want. August, you came in like a wrecking ball.

Currently I am...
hearting //
Everyone and their grandma is doing the whole Love Your Spouse challenge on Facebook. Which is great! Seriously. I heart the crap out of my spouse, and I would much rather read your seven days worth of Loving Your Spouse stuff than read any political Facebook argument. I am currently hearting him.

watching //
We've started re-watching The Office. And even though it's our eleventeenth time watching it, I still laugh/cringe just as hard at every word out of Michael Scott's mouth.

exploring //
Cooler fall like weather comes with the appearance of August, right? Hahahahaha, kidding. Not in Houston, anyways. However, mentally August is a cooler month than July, so we have big plans to get out and explore more of Houston. Nothing says Fall is coming! quite like 108 degrees with 60% humidity.

Have you ever heard of Bullet Journal? If not I'm going to need you to stop reading this sentence after the period and go stalk the hashtag #bulletjournal or #bulletjournaling on Insta.

...

Isn't it amazing?! My friend Ruth, who is my organizing/cleaning/emotional/etiquette soul mate, shared it with me over the weekend, and I have looked at way, way, way too many not enough Instagrams of the creative process of bullet journaling. I've started doodling around with it, and can't wait to get fancy pens so I can play around with it even more.

Ugh! Did you read that?! Fancy pens?! Get on my adult level of fun.

eating //
I have finally given into the Brussels Sprouts phenomenon and at any given moment during the day I think I could eat a bowl full of roasty toasty b sprouts.

What are you currently doing?
Linking up with Anne!

YAY for being the office twins. Now come over so we can binge watch together! ;) I agree w/ the love your spouse thing. I got challenged to do it and I'm on day 2. At first I was like shoot - but you're totally right - WAY better than annoying political rants for either party, ha!

I literally just found my new bullet journal on my doorstep! Now I need to set aside approximately the rest of the day to set it up. Can't wait.

We're re-watching The Office, too! We just watched the one with Michael's Last Dundies the other night, and I swear there were tears in my eyes! And I still crack up at the episodes I've seen a thousand times!

Roasted brussells deserve all the praise hands emojis. Also you are the second blog I've read today that included The Office in their currently post annnd I was already getting a hankering to watch it again... Once we're done with 30 Rock we are doing it! Husband doesn't get a say.

YES BRUSSELS SPROUTS. Oh dear. They are the best. And I am loving the FB thing with the spouses, although I haven't been nominated by anyone and I'm trying not to get depressed about the fact that clearly I have no friends.

100% yes to the love your spouse movement over the stupid political arguments on Facebook! I can't stand it and always think about deleting Facebook until after the elections are over. Brussels Sprouts are seriously so awesome! I wanted nothing to do with them until I tried them at Uchi, and after that I was obsessed!

31 weeks ago? Geez. Roasting makes pretty much any vegetable a win - just add a little balsamic to those sprouts and I'm in heaven. And excuse me while I go procrastinate on things and learn about bullet journals. Thank you.

My two year old is learning to count to 20 and she always adds an 'eleventeen' in there, so your use of that word cracked me up! -- Lisa | Naptime Chai

fancy pens are the BOMB. i have pens that erase!! you might have known these existed but i didn't and my mind was legit blown and i still get happy when i can write something and then it is gone. it's like a pencil or something, but cooler.
i have never watched the office. can you believe it? i need to, clearly.

The Office NEVER gets old. We restart it every January/February when football season is over lol! And YAY to the brussels sprouts, seriously... I tried them finally last year and they are seriously delicious! And I feel like there are lots of ways you can season/eat them too! I am scared to look at Bullet journaling because it sounds like something I'm going to fall in love with. Uh oh....

Have you started a bullet journal yet? I love getting to look through picture of other people's, but I haven't actually started one yet myself.

Thanks for linking up!
