on having a husband and not having a boyfriend

It has come to my attention that there is some confusion going around. Some big time confusion.  Some Emily has a boyfriend and a husband? confusion. Some Why doesn't Emily have her own TLC show yet? confusion.

Meet Freddie.
Formerly known as Freddiefriend, Freddiefiance, and Freddiehusband
In legal terms, known as Frederick.

Frederick.
Rick.
Ricky.
Get it?

When my grandmother met Freddie the first thing she said was, Oh! Frederick! A family name! It's true. We've got some Fredericks running around the hills of Tennessee, and one of those Fredericks goes by Rick. When I realized the creativity behind such a nickname I knew Freddie needed that nickname, too.

Are posts done through gifs instead of words still a thing? Can we pretend they are a thing for the next ten to fifteen seconds?

Start the timer...

Enter me calling him Rick and/or Ricky all the time. And yes, it doesn't count unless you say it like it's said in this video (srsly, watch the video. You won't regret it).

Enter his response to his new name.

Enter him finally responding to said rickname (heeeey-oh, see what I did there? Wink).

Enter everyone in my family calling him Rick.

Enter his own father, Fred Sr., calling him Rick.

Enter my greatest success yet
End timer.
And that's the story of how my husband has five million names and I don't have a boyfriend on the side. The end.

Ahh I love it! I tried to call Adam "AJ" once (Adam James) and he just shut me down. Sometimes my parents call me CJ (for Carly Jane) and I thought we could have matching nicknames! We'd be so cool!

Hahahha, this is great. I gave my husband a few nicknames when we were dating and he immediately shut me down on a few. Most people know him as a nickname and I liked calling him his full name.

I honestly was extremely confused every time you said Ricky, but I knew that Ricky and Freddie were the same person. I just thought it was some inside joke from a post before I started reading since no one ever said anything in the comments so I let it go hahaha.

RICKNAME. That's everything. You win the Internet today.

Hahah, this made me laaughoutloud for real! I've read your blog on and off for a while, so I guess I never really realized. I always just assume everyone is married though. Like I'm that person that says" your husband" to everyone and sometimes they'll be like, "no..boyfriend" or awkward things like that lol. And nickname. So funny. And gifs. So funny. This was probably the best use of them that I've ever seen lol.

This is both hilarious and fantastic. Husband-annoying is such a fun hobby! I annoy Nick all the time- it brings us both such joy, I'm sure of it!

Haha, this is so great! :) I totally get it because I have about a million nicknames for my husband, too.
